About Karjat
Karjat is the closest real countryside to Mumbai. It sits about 65 km from Navi Mumbai in the Ulhas river valley, roughly ninety minutes by road via the Mumbai–Pune Expressway and the Khopoli exit, and about two and a half hours from Pune. It also has its own station on the Mumbai suburban line, so a group can arrive by train and be at the villa twenty minutes later. What you get for the short drive is paddy fields that turn green in the monsoon, hill views through winter, and a quiet that the busier hill stations have mostly lost.

Stayscape has five villas in Karjat, each a standalone home on its own land with a private pool and lawns, from a 4-bedroom house to an 8-bedroom estate.
Salt Water is a 4 BHK for eight to sixteen guests, with bohemian interiors, a long pool and a lawn that works for an evening barbecue. Shreeji Farms is a 5 BHK farm-style villa for ten to twenty-five guests, the one to pick for a large family that wants space to spread out. Stargazer is a 6 BHK for up to twenty-five, named for its open terrace and clear night skies. Lumi & Sol is a 6 BHK pet-friendly villa with a private pool, so the dog comes too. The Zuri House is the largest, an 8 BHK for sixteen to thirty-two guests with an infinity pool, built for weddings, reunions and corporate offsites.
When to visit Karjat
October to March is the most comfortable: cool mornings, clear hill views and pool weather by noon. The monsoon, from June to September, is Karjat at its most dramatic, with the Ulhas in full flow, waterfalls on every hillside and the valley an unbroken green; it is the favourite season for groups who come for the rain itself. April and May are hot in the afternoon but the evenings are pleasant and the villas are at their quietest.
Things to do near the villas
Kondana Caves, a group of Buddhist rock-cut caves from the first century BC, are a short trek from Karjat town. The ND Studios film sets are open to visitors. The Bhivpuri and Pali waterfalls are at their best from July to September. River rafting on the Ulhas runs in the monsoon, and the Matheran toll gate is about forty minutes away for a day trip to the car-free hill station. Most guests, though, come for the pool, the lawn and a long lunch with nothing planned.
